October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Jannette Taylor’s WCA is an Oasis For Women in Need

October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. There’s an organization that is working hard to be an oasis for those who desperately need help to make a better life for themselves…And the children they may have.

The Omaha’s Women’s Center for Advancement (WCA) has answered more than 8,200 hotline calls, up nearly 40% from this time last year.   Assisting victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and stalking and their children to achieve safety and empowering them to lead self-determined lives.

Jannette Taylor is the President & CEO of the WCA.  She spoke with Mike Hogan on an episode of “Live & Local” about the great work they do and the fundraiser they have on Friday, October 15th
